How do I get more information?

Am I required to sign a lease?

A lease is not required; however, by signing a month-to-month lease you are guaranteed no price increase for at least 12 months.  Rent is prorated if you come to live with us in the middle of the month.  We also accept short term stays, for example, recuperating from a hospital stay or a winter stay. 

Do you require a deposit? 

Yes.  The deposit is $1000.00 and secures an apartment for you.  If you decide after paying the deposit that you will not be moving in, you will be refunded your deposit minus $100.00.  If you do move in, your deposit will earn interest and will be refunded to you at the time of move-out.

Do you have space for a couple?

Yes, our 2 room apartments accommodate a married couple.

What is included in the monthly charge?

The monthly charge includes three nutritious meals a day, weekly housekeeping, flat laundry, cable TV, planned activities, rooms with private baths and bedroom, and all utilities (except personal telephone).  Also included is access to common areas:  lounges, kitchenette, room, exercise room, and game room.  Emergency necklaces are provided as well.

What type of planned activities do you provide?

Activities include guest speakers, parties, special holiday events, Bible study, bingo, movies, sing-alongs, guest musicians, and crafts.  Activities vary according to residents’ interests.

Are residents allowed to have pets?

Pets may be allowed upon approval by management.

Are residents allowed to have guests eat with them?

Guests are welcome to eat with their family members.  Guest meal prices apply.  The East Dining Room is also available for family gatherings such as birthdays and anniversaries.  Prior notice is requested.

What if I am on a special diet?

All of our meals are nutritious with reduced salt, reduced fat, and reduced cholesterol.  We can also accommodate specific diet restrictions of most residents with physician recommendations.  All meals are prepared fresh by our kitchen staff. 

Can I bring my car?

Yes, there is outside parking for cars. 

Is there a public transportation bus available? 

Yes.  Local scheduled public transportation is provided to our residents free of charge.  Scheduled out-of-town transportation is provided by CEFS (public transportation bus) for a fee.
